Parent Coordinator
The role of the parent coordinator is to serve as a liaison between parents and the school in addressing any inquiry or concern that parents may have, to provide parents resources to become more engaged in their child's education, to provide support to the Parent-Teacher Association, and to support a welcoming environment for families.

Notification of Student Absence
If a student will be absent, parents/guardians are encouraged to email the school at absent@is141.org. Please include your child's full name and class, if possible.

Devices

Google Classroom
To find out your child's class and G-suite login information, i.e. IS141 email address, visit https://www.xpmath.com/is141gsuite/. You will need your child's OSIS (student identification) number and birthday. Be sure to enter the birthday in the following format: YYYYMMDD
To join Google Classrooms, please use the following instructions:
Navigate to https://classroom.google.com or use the iOS/Android app
Sign in using your @is141.org student account (this is your G-suite login information)
Username: (first initial + last name + last 4 digits of Student ID) @is141.org
Password: Student ID
After-School Program
HANAC Beacon @ 141 provides the free after-school program from 2:20 p.m.-6:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday) under the auspices of the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD). The program provides homework help, sports, Chess Club and other activities. The application will be available at the end of August, and seats are filled on a first come, first serve basis.
